In 2018, the decision was made to launch Cupra as a standalone brand with a commitment to design, technology, performance and quality. Although a new brand itself, there’s little risk to leasing a Cupra, as you’re getting a car that’s steeped in SEAT and the wider VW Group’s technical ability and prowess.

While most of the range is electrified with plans to go full-electric in the future, Cupra currently has one all-electric model on sale - the Born hatchback launched in 2022. It’ll follow that with several more over the next few years including a SUV and city car.

The Born is Cupra’s debut all-electric vehicle and a sporty rival to the Volkswagen ID.3. It uses all the practicality and engineering of the ID.3 but where Volkswagen needs to be more conservative, Cupra has added some swagger with a more stylish design and impressive performance. There’s a generous standard kit list, as well as various battery options offering up to 342 miles of range.
