Renault Trucks is the sole French truck manufacturer, originally founded in 1894. Although its vehicles are not available for lease with GRIDSERVE, the company is able to offer complete turnkey solutions for any heavy goods vehicle (HGV) fleets keen to make the switch to electric.
Key highlights
As you’d expect from the people that helped pioneer today’s affordable electric vehicles - take a bow, Renault Zoe – the brand really gets it. It knows that making the switch to electric isn’t as binary as simply buying a new truck. That’s why the truck division of this French firm has developed an entire ecosystem of customer support, including decarbonisation plans and telematics to understand fleet usage and routes. Only then does it make recommendations about models.
EVs and Renault
Renault Trucks only offers two electric models, but that’s two more than many of the best-selling truck manufacturers. These models are also infinitely customisable, which is why it takes so much care to understand each company’s specific needs. Acting as a pseudo project manager, Renault also supports with the installation of on-site charging facilities, integration of telemetry and the training of drivers and fleet administrators. See, we told you Renault gets it.

The Renault Trucks Master E-Tech is a large electric van that is offered in three body styles: van, floor-cab and chassis-cab. Although this is a conversion based on the long-established Renault Master diesel, it doesn’t lose out on payload or practicality. It is worth noting, however, that an all-new Renault Master E-Tech van is due for launch in 2024.
