Referral Rewards: Terms & Conditions
1. Overview
GRIDSERVE wants to help catalyse the adoption of Electric Vehicles. To do this we need your help. We want to get the word out to as many folk as possible about the planet friendly electric vehicle solutions that we are offering. And for helping us do that we want to reward you.
Simply share your referral code with your friends, family and networks. When people sign up and subscribe to a GRIDSERVE electric vehicle using the referral code you both receive rewards: you (the referrer) get £100 money back (once) and they (the referee) get £50 money back . The money back payments are made once the vehicle contract has been signed and the vehicle has been delivered to the referee’s address.
2. Definition of Terms
- Referrer: The person sharing their GRIDSERVE referral code with someone else
- Referee: The person being referred by a current GRIDSERVE member.
- Referral code: A unique alphanumeric code issued by GRIDSERVE to its members.
- Rewards: The money back reward issued to you as a result of the referral programme.
3. Terms & Conditions
The promoter of the Referral Reward is GRIDSERVE [ ] Limited, whose registered office is at Thorney Weir House, Thorney Mill Lane, Iver, SL0 9AQ (referred to as “GRIDSERVE”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
These terms and conditions apply to any participant in the GRIDSERVE referral scheme, whether as a Referrer or a Referee.
To participate as a Referrer in the GRIDSERVE Referral Scheme, you must (a) be aged 18 or over; and (b) have a lease of a GRIDSERVE electric vehicle and received a unique Referral Code from GRIDSERVE.
You are eligible to receive a Reward for each Successful Referral you make. Each New Customer that is a result of a Successful Referral will also be eligible to receive the Reward.
A referral will be a “Successful Referral” where a new customer clinks on your unique Referral Code and subscribes to a GRIDSERVE electric vehicle lease. A new customer is a customer that: (i) is not currently a customer of GRIDSERVE, (ii) is not a previous customer of GRIDSERVE; or (iii) has not been in discussions or negotiations with GRIDSERVE regarding a GRIDSERVE electric vehicle (“New Customer”).
GRIDSERVE will determine at its sole discretion and has final say as to whether a Successful Referral has been made.
Once a Successful Referral has been made, we will email both you and the New Customer with your respective Referral Rewards issued by prepaid debit card only to a named account in the same name as the contract held with GRIDSERVE/HCVS. For the avoidance of doubt, the Referral Code must be entered by the Referee on their application before submitting it, it cannot be done retrospectively or by the Referrer.
We reserve the right to substitute another voucher or item of equal value to the Reward.
Where any participant receives a Reward from us, that participant agree to comply with these Conditions. The Reward may not be sold, transferred, auctioned or used for commercial gain.
GRIDSERVE is not responsible for any Reward cards that are lost or delayed in being sent. To the fullest extent permissible by law, GRIDSERVE will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered or sustained as a result of participation in the GRIDSERVE Referral Scheme or use of the Reward.
We reserve the right to amend, withdraw or restrict the GRIDSERVE Referral Scheme and these Conditions at any time without notice.
Participants are liable for any tax consequences of the receipt of any Reward, and we accept no liability to participants or their employers in relation thereto.
Any Referral Rewards awarded in error must be returned for the full amount given by the benefiting customer.
GRIDSERVE will notify members of any changes by sending out an email and publishing it on their website, with one week’s notice.
These Conditions are intended to be legally binding and will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England. We each agree that English courts will have exclusive jurisdiction over any claim or dispute arising from or related to the GRIDSERVE Referral Scheme or these Conditions.
4. Acting in Good Faith
GRIDSERVE has introduced the referral programme for benefit of GRIDSERVE, its members, and the planet. This is done in good faith, and we expect the same good faith in return. Referral rewards may be withheld or denied if we believe a GRIDSERVE member is acting in bad faith, including but not limited to having any outstanding payments or being in breach of GRIDSERVE/HCVS lease agreement. Commercialising, advertising, selling or paying for the use of referral codes is not appropriate, and we may not honour such rewards.
We cannot cover every possible scenario, but we promise to be fair and act in good faith:
