Based at: UK Iver Office, SL0 and Project Sites as required

 

GRIDSERVE® is an international sustainable energy business headquartered in the UK. We develop, construct, own and operate premium solutions for critical energy applications that are currently poorly served or unsustainable and have the potential to be radically improved by a turn-key product + service offering that incorporate solar energy and energy storage.

 

You will be assisting the Legal and Commercial team in a variety of matters including reviewing and preparing commercial agreements, conducting legal research and providing general support to a variety of stakeholders with varying needs within the business. We are working on a number of projects including industrial & commercial battery & hybrid systems and Electric Forecourts™, including electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist and support the Legal team to manage contracts with clients, suppliers, leadership team and mitigate any risks in a timely manner

  • Provide contract management and preparation services and advice to the business on a day-to-day basis

  • Support of drafting, negotiating and keeping up to date all standard terms and conditions, NDAs, supply agreements and other additional agreements

  • Ensure that contracts are kept up to date in line with new legal developments and advise on data protection law including GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018

  • Provide support in company secretarial matters including preparing, drafting and reviewing of board minutes, resolutions, and other governance documents, statutory filings and assisting with other corporate administrative duties

  • Working alongside other members of the team to improve efficiency and sustainability in all legal matters and procedures

  • Conducting legal research & analysis

  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes including anti-bribery policy and Environmental and Quality Management System (compliant with ISO 9001 and 14001).

 

Skills Required:

 

  • A Law degree LLB/GDL is required, LPC is preferred but not essential

  • 6+ months previous experience in renewable energy/utilities/EV industry inhouse or within private practice

  • Demonstrate interest in Energy /Natural Resources/EV market

  • Knowledge and understanding of contract and commercial law

  • Excellent ability to communicate clearly both in writing and verbally

  • An eye for detail, strong organisational skills and able to take responsibility for own workload

  • You should be enthusiastic, self-motivated, capable of working independently as well as being committed to working as part of a team.
