The Genesis GV60 is a practical, comfortable, crossover SUV. It’s the first vehicle in the Genesis range to be built from the ground up as a pure electric car. That means unlike the GV70 and G80, there’s no option for a petrol or diesel engine in the GV60. It also means the design is more aerodynamic, the trademark Genesis grille is toned down, and passenger space inside has been maximised.
Key highlights of the Genesis GV60
Technology is the GV60's trump card. It is the first car to feature face recognition letting you lock, unlock and start the car, using a camera in the B pillar. There’s fingerprint recognition in the cabin plus digital side mirrors…and check out the glitzy rotating crystal sphere on the centre console too. All this doesn’t come at the sacrifice of practicality. There’s comfortably space for five people and you get 432 litres in the boot with an extra 53 litres under the bonnet (another bonus of a pure-electric design).
Genesis GV60 performance and range
Like other Genesis models the GV60 offers some of the fastest charging speeds on the market, with 240kW getting you from 10-80% in less than 20 minutes…barely time to drink a cup of coffee. The GV60 has a 77kWh battery that’s good for 321 miles range – the clever regenerative braking system will also help maximise this mileage – while a single motor producing 226hp will do 0-62mph in 7.8 seconds. There are three trims with varying levels of kit to choose from: Premium, Sport, and Sport Plus.

The GV60 is in a crowded crossover market so there’s plenty of choice. Any leasing shortlist in this sector should include the Kia EV6 and Hyundai IONIQ 5, as well as the Ford Mustang Mach-E while the Tesla Model Y is one of the few that can match the GV60 for technology.

There are a few options when leasing the GV60, in the form of the Premium, Sport, and Sport Plus trims. Premium comes with 19-inch wheels, LED headlights, rear-wheel drive, folding and heated wing mirrors. The interior has two 12.3-inch infotainment displays along with a heated leather steering wheel.
The Sport model has 20-inch alloy wheels and the addition of a front motor to make the car all-wheel drive. If you go for the top level Sport Plus, you’ll get 21-inch alloy wheels, electronic control suspension featuring camera technology, nappa leather upholstery, metal sport pedals and a Boost button on the steering wheel providing full power from the electric motors.
The GV60 can take charging levels up to a maximum of 233 kW, which can replenish the battery from 10% to 80% in just 16 minutes. Find one of the High Power chargers available on the GRIDSERVE Electric Highway and you can be back on the roads in just 15 minutes.
