The electric car leasing market is dominated by small SUVs. If that’s the type of vehicle you’re looking for, you’ve got a huge amount of choice. However, very few look as smart as the Mokka-e. In fact, the original petrol-powered Mokka from Vauxhall won the ‘Design of the Year’ award in 2021, and the firm’s fully electric alternative shares all the same impressive aesthetic features, both inside and out.
Key highlights
One highlight that many Mokka-e drivers remark on is the feeling of being in a spacious van, without having to manoeuvre one. The Mokka-e is, after all, a small SUV, making it an easy drive. However, the tall bonnet, and the position of the seats – which are mounted higher than you’d expect – create a feeling of being inside a much larger vehicle. It’s not quite the same experience as driving one of Vauxhall’s bigger EVs, like the Combo-e Life or the Vivaro-e Life. However, you’ll enjoy excellent front and side visibility from your elevated perch, which is particularly handy at busy junctions.
Performance & range
In terms of performance and range, the Mokka-e certainly holds its own in the competitive small SUV EV leasing market. You can expect to get up to 209 miles on a single charge, and it’ll go from 0-60 miles per hour in around 8.7 seconds. That’s only slightly slower than the nippy Corsa-e which does it in 7.6 seconds.
A rapid charge will power the Mokka-e to 80% in just 30 minutes, so there’s never long to wait around between charges on a long journey. If you’re charging at home, a standard charge to 100% will take around 7.5 hours. A slow charge to 100% will take a little under 22 hours.

If you’re not set on leasing a Vauxhall electric car, there are plenty of other options to consider. The Mokka-e shares a number of characteristics with electric cars made by other manufacturers in the same Stellantis Group family. In fact, the infotainment system in the Mokka-e is pretty much exactly the same as you’ll find in the Peugeot e-2008. Alternatively, other small SUVs, like the Hyundai Kona Electric or Kia e-Niro, tick all the right boxes, along with the VW ID.3 hatchback.

We've made leasing an electric car easier than ever
Vauxhall has always been a popular brand with UK drivers, and the Mokka-e is no exception. It’s eye-catching both inside and out with a unique look and style, as well as providing a good all-round driving experience. There’s also a generous kit list and fast charging available with this no-nonsense electric SUV.
Leasing a car with GRIDSERVE Car Leasing also means you can do your bit for the planet too, as we will plant 100 trees for every car that we lease. Plus, we also offer access to over 160+ Charging Stations on the GRIDSERVE Electric Highway. Choose the Vauxhall Mokka-e edition that suits you and we’ll deliver it directly to your door on a day of your choosing.
The Mokka-e has a decent level of range across all editions, with 209 miles of official range and a real-world estimate of 178 miles. The exact range that you’ll get from your Mokka-e model will depend on a range of factors, such as driving style, weather, battery size, load and more.
There are a few different editions of the Vauxhall Mokka-e to choose from, starting with the GS. This comes with 18-inch alloys with red accents, a 10-inch colour touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, climate control, a 12-inch digital instrument panel and keyless entry.
An Ultimate edition is also available to lease, which has nifty features such as LED Matrix headlights for optimum vision at night and an advanced park assist pack. There are also loads of interior features too, including high-quality Alcantara seats.
The Mokka-e has plenty of appeal as a family car since it is an SUV with a decent amount of interior space. No matter whether you’re transporting children or family pets, there will be plenty of room for the whole family to enjoy.
The boot size is set at 310 litres, which increases to 1,060 litres when the back seats are folded flat. Size-wise, the Mokka-e is 4,151mm in length, 1,791mm in width, and 1,531mm in height.
When using one of the charging points on the GRIDSERVE Electric Highway, this model can be charged from 10-80% in just 26 minutes, with a maximum charge power of 101kW. If you decide to charge the Mokka-e at home instead it will take a lot longer. For example, when hooked to an 11kW charger, it will take around 5 hours to charge from empty to full.
