The Ford E-Transit was one of the most hotly-anticipated models when it launched in 2022 – and it hasn’t disappointed. The large van, which has been the heartbeat of British business for decades, is even better now that it’s made the switch to electric. It’s got great range, flexible configurations and is great to drive – even better, it comes at a price that won’t break the bank.
Key highlights
The E-Transit is available in two different heights and three length variations and as a van, crew cab or chassis cab – meaning in total you can select from 25 different configurations. At its biggest, you’ll get a healthy 15.1m3 of space in the back and with independent rear suspension, you can carry up to 1,711kg of cargo. One nifty add-on is Pro Power Onboard – a 2.3kW power supply to charge your drills, saws and laptop without the need for a generator. A lease on the E-Transit will also hook you up to Ford’s SYNC 4 system so you can stay connected with your van on and off the road.
Performance and range
Ford is well-known for making vans that feel more like cars to drive and the E-Transit is no different. It’s got multiple driving modes and handles well around town. The 68kWh battery delivers up to 196 miles – enough for inner city call-outs or long-distance deliveries. It’s also capable of 115kW charging, meaning that after a quick visit to one of our Electric Super Hubs, you’ll be back on the road faster than your rivals.
