Key highlights

The CUPRA name has long been associated with top spec SEATs. Now it’s a standalone brand and the Born is its first all-electric car. It shares a lot with the Volkswagen ID. 3 that it’s based on, but has a sportier look and feel inside and out.

The hatchback, available in three specs (V1, V2 and V3), offers five seats and a 385-litre boot making it practical enough for a small family and on a par with most rivals. There’s a generous equipment list to make sure you have all the latest technology and convenience features, such as large infotainment touchscreen, reversing camera and lane-keep assist.

If you lease the CUPRA Born, you’ll also be getting a dose of the brand’s racing heritage, with the Dynamic Chassis Control Sport (DCC Sport) making the hatchback more responsive and enjoyable on the road than some competitors.

Performance & range

The new Born packs an impressive punch for its size. Leasing is available on both the 58kWh or 77kWh battery with range varying from 262 to 343 miles - more than enough for town driving and longer trips. The entry-level 58kWh will do 0-62mph in 7.3 seconds.
