In 2021, the Corsa was the UK’s best-selling car. Now, Vauxhall have launched a fully electric version, known as the Corsa-e. It looks almost identical to the petrol-powered original, but with the added bonus of emitting absolutely zero carbon emissions, making this a fantastic eco-friendly option.
Key highlights of the Vauxhall Corsa-e
If space is one of your main considerations, you’ll be pleased to know that the Corsa-e has loads of it. Which is impressive, considering this is one of the smaller fully electric cars available for EV leasing today. Vauxhall managed to offera compact EV with a roomy and comfortable on-road experience, which is something that isn’t seen all that often in the electric car leasing world.
Of course, you can’t expect the sort of room you’d get with Vauxhall’s electric vans like the Combo e-Life or the Vivaro-e Life. For a small, economical vehicle though, you get a lot of bang for your buck.
Vauxhall Corsa-e performance & range
The range of the Corsa-e is very good, coming in at around 222 miles on a single charge. This makes it a little better, performance-wise, than its closest Vauxhall-brandedsibling, the Mokka-e, which travels 13 miles less on average before needing a recharge. When it is time though, the Corsa-e can be charged at more than 40,000 points located across the UK. A 100 kW rapid charge will get the car to 80% in 30 minutes, while a full, standard charge takes 7.5 hours.
The driving experience is very much just like a petrol Corsa. You’ll find this nippy little thing is quite punchy and quick to respond, making it an enjoyable driving experience that feels powerful.

Similar models to the Vauxhall Corsa-e
With Vauxhall being part of the Stellantis Group alongside Peugeot, there are a lot of similarities between Vauxhall and Peugeot electric models. The Corsa-e is essentially a Peugeot e-208 in a Corsa’s body. The e-208 is a fantastic alternative if you like the sound of the Corsa-e but aren’t sure about leasing a Vauxhall electric car. Other options include the Renault Zoe, Honda e, and MINI Electric, which all share a number of similar features, but with very different types of visual appeal.

We've made leasing an electric car easier than ever
The Corsa was the best-selling car in the UK in 2021 and was second place in 2022, proving it to be more popular than ever. There are plenty of reasons why it is a favourite of UK drivers, such as the impressive fuel economy, excellent performance, great levels of standard equipment and the overall reliability of the car.
You can also benefit from exceptional customer care when you lease your Corsa-e with GRIDSERVE Car Leasing, and we will deliver the car on a day of your choosing. The GRIDSERVE Electric Highway also offers hundreds of chargers across the UK, at our Electric Hubs and Electric Super Hubs, in addition to the GRIDSERVE Electric Forecourts. The Corsa-e comes in the form of the Anniversary Edition, GS and Ultimate versions, so you can choose your preferred option. The Anniversary Edition celebrates 40 years of the Corsa, featuring Redcord Red paintwork, a Corsa 40 plaque, 17-inch gloss black wheels and a black styling pack. The interior also features a limited edition tartan seat trim and a panoramic rear view camera in addition to heated front seats and steering wheel.
The GS is the entry-level version of the Corsa-e, but still has a lot of great equipment included. It has 17-inch alloy wheels, a seven-inch infotainment system, LED headlights with rear parking sensors and high beam assist, plus sports style front seats for added style and comfort.
The Ultimate edition has a 10-inch infotainment system, Intellilux Matrix LED headlights and a 180-degree panoramic rear view camera with front and rear parking sensors.
All three available variants of the Corsa-e have an official range of 222 miles, which equates to an estimated 189 miles in real-world figures. These are just estimates though and will vary depending on a range of factors, including weather, weight, tyre condition and pressure, if the air conditioning is in use and the driving style used.
When leasing with GRIDSERVE, you can choose the annual mileage amount that makes the most sense for you. The minimum standard mileage figure is 5,000, with multiple options building up to the maximum amount of 30,000 miles.
