The Volvo EX90 is the largest and most luxurious electric model in the Volvo family tree. With space for seven adults, cutting-edge technology and a long range on a charge, the imposing EX90 might be all the car you ever need. It’s a great EV to lease
Key highlights of the Volvo EX90
Looking for a large and luxurious SUV to lease, but don’t want a gas-guzzler? Enter the new, all-electric Volvo EX90. Sitting at the top of Volvo’s range it’s the biggest car the Swedish brand makes, and replaces the popular XC90.
With the clean elegant lines we’ve come to expect from Volvo, the EX90 also has a minimalist yet high-tech interior. New features include 5G connectivity, a smartphone-based digital key and some of the most advanced autonomous driving functions on the road. Bi-directional charging allows the battery to send energy back to the grid or power appliances, too.
The EX90 is also an electric seven-seater with room for full-sized adults in each seat. It’s claimed to be Volvo’s safest car yet, which is a big claim for a company so obsessed with keeping occupants out of harm’s way.
Volvo EX90 performance and range
The Volvo EX90 has an impressively long range for a car of this size thanks to its big 111kWh battery pack. The entry-level Twin Motor model promises 364 miles of range according to the official WLTP tests, which equates to a real-world range of about 309 miles. The Performance model drops those figures slightly to 360 and 306 miles respectively.
Both versions come equipped with 250kW rapid charging capability, making the EX90 one of the fastest charging EVs on sale. A 10-80% charge is possible in as little as 30 minutes.
In terms of performance, the standard Twin Motor EX90 is capable of 0-62mph in 5.9 seconds. Opting for the Performance model drops this figure to 4.9 seconds. As with all Volvos the top speed is limited to 112mph.
