GRIDSERVE is charging up the mobile app space with its very own – and imaginatively named – GRIDSERVE EV charging app. Hey, we don’t build the search algorithm…
It’s available to download in both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, but why launch an app now? We’re glad you asked.
We’re proud that all our EV chargers along the GRIDSERVE Electric Highway are membership free and feature contactless payment, but the GRIDSERVE app has been designed to bring extra awesome benefits and features to our regular customers.
Things like locating the best EV chargers in the land, monitoring their availability in real time and pinging their precise coordinates to Google Maps, Apple Maps or Waze.
Then, when you do plug in, you can now start, stop and monitor the real-time charging status of your vehicle with a few taps on your phone from the comfort of a nearby coffee shop.
Love charging with GRIDSERVE but hate sorting receipts? The GRIDSERVE app is your new best friend, automatically emailing you a receipt and charging summary after every session, and storing your previous 10 charging sessions in your account.
Not only have we got you covered across the country, GRIDSERVE never shares your data so everything stays private.
How do I use the GRIDSERVE app?
Step one:
Download the GRIDSERVE app from the Apple Store or Google Play and register your account details.
Step two:
Use our interactive map to search for EV chargers near you and view their real-time availability, as well as power, connector type and price per kWh.
Step three:
On arriving at your chosen location, park in a charging bay and plug in. Match the EV charge point number in your selected charging bay matches with the one displayed within the GRIDSERVE app. Hit the ‘Tap here to pay’ button and charging should start after a few safety checks with all session information displayed in the app.
Step four:
Choose your preferred payment method from your digital wallet.
Step five:
Monitor your charge remotely and when you want to end your charging session, slide the ‘stop charge’ button across the screen.
Step six:
A summary of your charging session will be presented and logged in your charging activity folder, followed by an email receipt. You can now safely unplug the charging cable and return to its holster.
That’s it, folks. Now go and download the GRIDSERVE app from your favourite app store, write a comment (nice ones, please), leave a rating (five stars obvs) and tell all your friends.
