News hot off the (French) press is that customers charging at our London Gatwick Electric Forecourt® can now have their coffee order delivered straight to their car.
Yup, thanks to the next-level service of the UK’s favourite coffee brand, Costa Coffee, and the magic of franchise agreements, you can now order your favourite coffee at our London Gatwick EV charging station via the Costa app and a member of the GRIDSERVE team will deliver it straight to your charging bay.
“Our Electric Forecourts® are already renowned for elevating the electric vehicle (EV) charging experience, so this is just another way of further enhancing our customer offering,” explains Mital Mehta, general manager of London Gatwick Electric Forecourt®.
When the London Gatwick facility officially opened in January, it became the first Costa Coffee franchise within the GRIDSERVE portfolio, and that greater level of integration is already proving useful when embracing more customer-centric formats.
While the site already offers Click & Collect – a service that lets Costa Club Members pre-order and pay for selected food and drinks prior to arrival – you still must pick your order up from the counter. Now, if you’re on a work call or just fancy chilling in your own space, we’ll bring the coffee to you. And the best bit? There’s no need to queue.

So how does Costa ‘Click & Serve’ work at the London Gatwick Electric Forecourt®?
Step one: Download the Costa Coffee Club app on Android or iPhone and login
Step two: Select ‘Click & Serve’ on the app, entering your vehicle’s registration and colour, and choose your favourite coffee
Step three: On arrival, the App will instruct you to pull into a charging bay and inform the Costa team you’ve arrived
Step four: Relax in your car as our baristas prepare your order and deliver to your door
