Planning an Easter getaway with your dog? You’re in very good company. Over eight million UK dog owners are taking their four-legged friends on staycation this year. At GRIDSERVE, we’re making sure every stop along the way is worth wagging about and this Easter holiday is no exception.
Our Electric Forecourts are dog-friendly as standard. Our sites at Norwich, Braintree and Stevenage have great walking routes nearby, too, so your pup can properly stretch their legs, have a sniff around and burn off some of that holiday excitement while your car recharges. And with our most powerful EV chargers able to add over 100 miles of range to latest electric models in under 10 minutes, your car will often be ready before your dog is done investigating that particularly interesting patch of grass.

Treats for four-legged GRIDSERVE Plus members
This Easter weekend, we’re giving away Dog-E Bags (while stocks last) at our Electric Forecourts® in Braintree, Norwich and Stevenage, packed with treats and toys for your four-legged co-pilot. They’re exclusively for GRIDSERVE Plus Members and worth more than twice the cost of a month’s GRIDSERVE Plus membership, meaning that while existing members get a well-deserved treat, those who sign up specifically to get a Dog-E bag immediately get their money back and more! GRIDSERVE Plus Members also get 25% off charging, so the journey is easier on your wallet, too.
Strike a paws this National Pet Day
GRIDSERVE Plus members don’t just get a free Dog-E Bag this Easter Weekend. We’re commemorating National Pet Day on 11 April by commissioning a whole host of free pet pawtraits at Norwich Electric Forecourt for GRIDSERVE Plus members.
While you charge up and get 25% off, your furry friend can get ready for their close-up, enjoying a free mini-portrait session with our dedicated pet photographer and a digital copy for you to access when you get home.
Win Pets at Home vouchers
We’re also offering everyone the chance to win one of three, £100 Pets at Home vouchers!
Simply download and register yourself on the GRIDSERVE app and fill in our online form. Bonus entries are available when you attach a picture of your pooch as your travelling companion!

Making the most of the road trip
Our research shows the old idiom is true, we put a lot of thought into the journey, not just the destination. Nearly half of dog owners chat to their dogs while driving (completely normal). More than a third pop their pup in a car seat rather than the boot. And one in eight curates a playlist they think their dog will enjoy (Puppy Love, anyone?).
When it comes to stopping, 36% of owners choose their pit stop based on dog-friendly amenities, with the average break stretching to around 42 minutes. That’s plenty of time to recharge (in some cases, several times over), enjoy a leg stretch, a good sniff and a large flat white.
Ready to hit the road?
Whether you’re Cornwall-bound with a Spaniel or heading to Whitby with a Whippet, we’ll be there to keep the journey going for you and your very important co-pilot.
