Audi’s electric models offer everything you’d expect from a brand known for offering solid and thoughtfully designed cars, but with the added benefit of smooth and silent electric power. While Audi still makes ICE and hybrid cars, its full electric e-tron range has rapidly grown and features six models - with more due in the coming years.
Key highlights of Audi electric cars
The key highlights of Audi’s electric lineup are the impressive performance, premium finish and high-end design, all combined with a more eco-friendly power source that produces zero local emissions.
The Audi name has been around for well over 100 years, but in the modern era Audi is a globally established prestige brand. The Audi e-tron electric sub-brand wasn’t formed until 2019, with the launch of the original e-tron SUV.
Today’s Audi e-tron lineup offers a more affordable compact SUV, more opulent large SUVs and a four-door sports car sitting at the pinnacle of the range. All offer a smooth driving experience, responsive electric power, classy interiors and an evolution of Audi’s long-standing design principles. It’s everything you’d expect from the prestigious Audi brand – with less impact on the environment.
Audi & EVs
Audi first entered the electric car leasing world back in 2009, when the manufacturer showcased a number of potential concepts for both electric and plug-in hybrid production cars. The first fully electric car – the e-tron – was released in 2019, before being followed up by the e-tron Sportback. Sharing technology with Porsche brought about the incredibly capable e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT, and the Q4 e-tron brought the name to a more affordable price point.
From 2026 Audi will only launch purely electric cars, phasing out ICE power by 2033. It also aims to become a “leading provider of net-zero carbon mobility” and is working on reducing emissions throughout its supply chain and factories. Audi as a brand plans to become a 100% carbon-neutral company by 2050.
Top Audi EV models
If you’re thinking about EV leasing, Audi has a number of top contenders to consider. The original Audi e-tron has recently been thoroughly updated to become the Q8 e-tron, an electric luxury SUV also available in more stylish Sportback form, offering a range of up to 343 miles on a charge.
For something sleeker, try the Audi e-tron GT. Audi’s version of the amazing Porsche Taycan, it’s a dramatic-looking four-door with up to 590bhp and market-leading charging speeds, allowing a 10-80% charge in as little as 17 minutes.
There’s also the Audi Q4 e-tron; currently the entry-level of the e-tron range, the more attainable Q4 still offers the technology and quality finish you’d expect, with fast charging and a range of up to 328 miles. See the full range of electric car leasing available today.

SKODA and Volkswagen offer some similar EVs to Audi’s e-tron range, like the Skoda Enyaq and Volkswagen ID.4. The Porsche Taycan is also comparable to the Audi e-tron GT.
