The ATTO 3 is a brand new model from a brand new company - in the UK at least. BYD stands for Build Your Dreams, and this smart electric family car from China has plenty going for it. 

One of the key highlights of the BYD ATTO 3 is its interior, with a swooping dashboard and lots of clever technology making it feel premium despite very competitive leasing costs. There’s also a generous list of standard equipment including electric seats, a 360-degree parking camera and an electric rotating touchscreen up to 15.6-inches in size. 

With plenty of space for the family and a comfortable and easy driving experience, the BYD ATTO 3 is a strong all-rounder.

Whichever version of the BYD ATTO 3 you choose you’ll get a 201bhp electric motor that drives the front wheels only. A punchy 0-62mph time of 7.3 seconds means you’ll be first away from the lights, while adjustable regenerative braking helps recover energy when slowing. 

A 60kWh battery is standard across the lineup, giving the BYD ATTO 3 a claimed range of 261 miles according to official WLTP tests - that equates to around 222 miles in reality. Rapid charging at speeds of up to 89kW means the battery can be topped up from 10-80% in around 44 minutes, while all models come fitted with a heat pump to preserve range in winter.
