The all-new Fisker Ocean is a great electric car to lease if you’re looking for something a little different. Designed in California and built in Austria, the Ocean is the exciting launch model from the groundbreaking start-up Fisker Inc.
If you like sustainable living you should love the Fisker Ocean, claimed to be the “world’s most sustainable car”. It’s built in a net-zero carbon factory, with eco-friendly parts suppliers, recycled materials and no leather in sight.
Key highlights that make the Fisker Ocean stand out include a solar panel sunroof option to extend range, ‘California mode’ which lowers seven of the car’s eight window panes at the touch of a button, and a huge 17.1-inch central touchscreen that rotates from portrait to landscape mode for watching TV while charging.
Fisker Ocean performance and range
The Fisker Ocean isn’t just clever on the surface, it offers impressive technical specifications.
Initially UK buyers can only order the Extreme version, which features dual motors putting out 550bhp - enough for a 0-62mph time of just four seconds.
Just as exciting is the range capability: with a vast 113kWh battery pack it promises up to 440 miles of range according to WLTP tests, making it one of the longest range electric cars money can buy. A real-world estimate of 374 miles is still very strong, too, while rapid charging speeds of up to 250kW mean a 10-80% charge in 33 minutes is possible.
Later on you will be able to lease an entry-level Sport model with 275bhp, a 0-62mph time of 6.6 seconds and a range of up to 275 miles. A mid-level Ultra model adds a second electric motor for 540bhp and a range of up to 390 miles.
