If you’re thinking about leasing a Lexus electric car, the UX 300e is well worth a look. As the brand’s first-ever fully electric vehicle, the UX 300e features the typical Lexus values of striking design and top-drawer quality. It also majors on comfort both for short and long drives, and is very well-equipped as standard.
Key Lexus UX highlights
The Lexus UX is built at the world-famous Kyushu plant in Japan, alongside some of the brand’s most iconic models such as the RX and RZ. All hybrid and electric models and the entire ‘Lexus Electrified’ range have been built here, so precision of finish, reliability and attention-to-detail are guaranteed.
It also doesn’t look like an electric car, so it’s great if you want to stay under the radar but still want the class of a Lexus.
Comfort and quietness are the order of the day, too - it’s smooth and effortlessly relaxing. It’s also very safe, with a variety of assist systems and the maximum five star Euro NCAP crash test rating.
We’d recommend opting for the Premium Plus Pack which gives you leather seats that are heated and ventilated in the front, heated rear seats and a heated steering wheel, keyless entry and wireless phone charging. Top-spec Takumi models come with all the bells and whistles including an uprated infotainment system, premium sound, a sunroof and a head-up display.
Lexus UX performance & range
The UX 300e gets up to 62mph in 7.5 seconds and can travel up to 195 miles on a single charge. That’ll be fast and far enough for most needs, but the Lexus RZ is available for those who demand more range and performance.
It’s worth keeping in mind that the UX 300e uses a CHAdeMO charging socket rather than the more common CCS, but these are supported on the GRIDSERVE Electric Highway charging network. A charge from 0-80% takes around 50 minutes.

The WLTP range of the UX model is set at 195 miles on a single charge, though the exact mileage you’ll get from your car will depend on a range of factors, which include how you drive, weather conditions in the area, the payload of the car, tyre pressure, use of the air con and more.
GRIDSERVE offers the flexibility to select the annual mileage that best suits your needs when you lease a UX vehicle. You have a range of mileage options available, starting from a minimum standard of 5,000 miles and extending up to a maximum of 30,000 miles. The comprehensive mileage choices include: 5,000, 8,000, 10,000, 15,000, 20,000, 25,000, or 30,000 miles.
By providing these various mileage options, GRIDSERVE allows you to tailor your lease agreement to match your anticipated driving requirements.
The cost of leasing a Lexus UX electric car will be determined by several factors. These include the duration of the lease, the chosen annual mileage limit, whether it's a personal or business lease, the initial rental payment period, and the specific variant of the UX selected.
Prices may vary over time, so it is advisable to regularly check for updates on the latest pricing for the UX model that matches your preferences.
For personal car leases, the prices listed already include VAT (Value Added Tax). In contrast, for business car leases, the listed prices exclude VAT. This distinction accounts for the slight price difference between personal and business deals, as VAT applies to personal leases.
