The EQS may be the most distinctive model in the Mercedes-Benz EQ range, but don’t let that fool you. It’s not just a pretty face. In fact, this 2021 addition to the brand’s fully electric range promises impressive performance, with one of the longest ranges available in EV leasing.
Key highlights of the Mercedes-Benz EQS
The obvious highlight of the Mercedes-Benz EQS is its design. It’s basically an electric version of the S-Class luxury limo, although you wouldn’t know it from looking. It’s more streamlined and more aerodynamic, with not a hair out of place… even the door handles are ‘invisible’ to maintain that super-smooth body.
In fact, the EQS looks unlike any petrol or diesel car Mercedes-Benz has produced before. And they know it. It’s ultra-luxurious, comfortable, spacious and loaded with the latest technology - like the Hyperscreen which stretches across the cabin.
Another highlight of the EQS is its sustainable production. Made at Mercedes-Benz’s Factory 56, this car was manufactured using partial solar power, with the sun producing 30% of the energy the facility needs.
Mercedes-Benz EQS performance & range
Although the EQS might not look like a Mercedes S-Class, it certainly behaves like one on the road. It’s fast, comfortable and with charging capability that’ll get you on the move in minutes. Not that you’ll need to charge all that often. The EQS will travel for up to 453 miles on a single charge, making it the longest-range electric car on sale in the UK.

Similar models to the Mercedes-Benz EQS
If leasing a Mercedes-Benz electric car is what you’re really after, the EQA and EQC are two affordable alternatives worth exploring. There’s also the EQV if you need seven seats. If you’re not set on the Mercedes name, take a look at the BMW i7, Porsche Taycan, or Audi e-tron GT. They all have a similar sporty, luxurious feel, even if the range isn’t quite as impressive.

It also has a five-star Euro NCAP rating with lots of high-tech safety systems installed too, so you can rest assured that you are secure when getting behind the wheel. By leasing an EQS with GRIDSERVE Car Leasing, you can also enjoy free delivery straight to your door on a day of your choosing, as well as tax, insurance and the possibility of a maintenance package being included too.
That’s not all though, as we have hundreds of chargers across the UK at our Electric Hubs, Electric Super Hubs, and Electric Forecourts® that you can use to charge your new EQS while you’re on the go.
When charging your new EQS at one of GRIDSERVE’s EV charging stations throughout the UK, the exact price you’ll pay on the day will depend on the power of the charger you use and how long you use it for. Low power chargers of up to 22kW cost 49p/kWh, while medium power chargers up to 60kW cost 65p/kWh.
If you choose a high power charger of up to 350 kW, it will cost 66p/kWh. You can find more information on the GRIDSERVE pricing page.
The EQS is one of the best cars on the market when it comes to range, with a huge 453 miles of official range available across a few models, including the Luxury 450+ and AMG Line Premium 450+. Even the lowest range model still provides 337 miles on a single charge, which is ahead of most other direct competitors in this area.
With GRIDSERVE Car Leasing, you can choose between contract terms of 24, 36, or 48 months, so you can decide on the time frame that best suits you. This way, you’ll never be stuck paying for the lease for longer than you would need the vehicle for.
The EQS has been awarded a five star safety rating from Euro NCAP and has a vast range of internal safety equipment to help keep you secure when driving. These include anti-collision sensors and active steering assist.
The cheapest deal will depend on a range of factors which are ever-changing.
