If you’re a fan of the Peugeot 2008, you’re going to love the e-2008. This attractive small SUV is a great choice for anyone looking to lease a robust and versatile electric car. It’s a strong rival for other small SUVs on the e-mobility market, such as the Kia e-Niro and the Hyundai Kona Electric.
The e-2008 is suitable for both business and personal leasing. Business customers will pay a super-low Benefit in Kind (BIK) rate on their e-2008 lease.
Key highlights
Compact and comfortable with good storage, the e-2008 is a fantastic little family SUV for eco-conscious drivers. But it’s not just about practicalities. In classic Peugeot style, it’s also a great-looking vehicle. The sleek bodywork ridges and LED lights make it a modern and stylish choice.
Peugeot’s aim is to create EVs that closely resemble its petrol and diesel models. So if you know the 2008 already, you’ll have to look closely to spot the differences. The fuel filler cap’s been replaced by a charging socket, there’s an “e” on the badge, and the grille design is colour-coded to fit with the Peugeot EV range.
Performance & range
Despite its compact size, the e-2008 is amazingly spacious. The standard storage capacity is 405 litres – fold the seats down, and you can up that to 1471. Range is another strength, with up to 206 miles between charges. Using a rapid (1000 kWh) charger, you can replenish the battery to 80% in just half an hour.
As with all Peugeot EVs, you can use the dedicated MyPeugeot app to check your car’s charging status and set your climate control from a distance. These and many other features make for an extra user-friendly driving experience.

Similar models
The Hyundai Kona electric is another small SUV crossover that’s both stylish and practical. Depending on the model, it has either slightly less range than the e-2008 (at up to 189 miles) or considerably more (at an impressive 300). Another very competitive option is the Kia e-Niro, which was named Car of the Year at the 2020 What Car? awards. Its 282-mile range also marks it out as a high performer in its class.
