With 82 hp and a 36.8 kWh battery, today’s model offers a substantially improved range of up to 161 miles on a single charge. The e-Up! can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in a little under 12 seconds, and its top speed is a very respectable 80 mph.

As ever with VW, rapid charging is standard, and you’ll be able to replenish the battery from zero to 80% in around 40 minutes. The choice of three driving modes will also help you to manage battery use without having to think about it too much.
