The Mercedes-Benz eVito was the first fully dedicated electric van from Mercedes, and one of the first medium-sized electric vans of any kind to go on sale in the UK. This freshly updated model boasts an improved range, faster charging and added trim levels.

Key highlights

The eVito comes in two sizes – L2 and L3, also known as Long and Extra-Long – but a single roof height, offering a load capacity between 6 - 6.6m³. Interestingly, it’s the shorter L2 version that offers the bigger 807kg payload.

The eVito was already a quality product, but a raft of updates in 2022 have helped bring the feeling of quality up a few notches. While all versions in the entry-level Progressive trim benefit from a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system and smartphone mirroring functions, an all-new Premium trim level adds more visual upgrades to help your van, and business, stand out from the crowd.

Performance and range

Because the eVito was developed as an electric van, it actually boasts better performance, payload and range than its larger eSprinter sibling. The eVito can go 162 miles between charges, while a maximum charging rate of 80kW means that you’ll be able to go from 0-80% State of Charge (SOC) in 35 minutes. 

Like the eSprinter, there are three driver modes in E (Economy), E+ (Economy Plus) and C (Comfort), and they can also moderate power output to help make the batteries last longer.
