The Renault Trucks Master E-Tech is a large electric van that is offered in three body styles: van, floor-cab and chassis-cab. Although this is a conversion based on the long-established Renault Master diesel, it doesn’t lose out on payload or practicality. It is worth noting, however, that an all-new Renault Master E-Tech van is due for launch in 2024.

The Renault Master E-Tech has all the functionality its trusted nameplate suggests - low loading sills, 270-degree rear opening doors, lashing rings galore - but in a zero emissions package. With three lengths, three heights and three bodies on offer, loading volume ranges anywhere from 8m3 to 22m3 to suit all manner of businesses.
Performance and range
The Renault Master E-Tech has a comparatively short range so is best suited to a repeatable schedule of last mile deliveries. Unlike the Kangoo E-Tech, the Master E-Tech doesn’t support DC rapid charging and instead relies on a maximum AC charging capacity of 22kW, meaning longer recharging sessions are necessary after a shift has ended.

The Citroen e-Relay, Peugeot e-Boxer and Vauxhall Movano Electric work on a similar basis as the Master E-Tech, in that they have converted a long-established fossil fuel model to electric.
