GRIDSERVE is proud to be the EV charging partner of Dobbies, the UK’s largest garden centre retailer. James Dobbie may have started out selling seeds in 1865, but the business today offers multi-retail and restaurant facilities, with plenty of seasonal inspiration in the form of plants, shrubs and trees, outdoor furniture and homeware. There is also John Lewis click-and-collect services plus a food hall partnership with Waitrose in selected stores. As such, our Electric Retail Hubs are designed to provide a variety of different charging speeds for different customer needs.

Electric Retail Hub

With our partnership with Dobbies, we debuted our first Electric Retail Hub – a new type of destination charging that allows wannabe Monty Dons to top up their EVs while selecting their terracotta pots or patio furniture. The Electric Retail Hub is in addition to the motorway-based Electric Super Hubs, our flagship Electric Forecourts® and Electric Destination Hubs.
