The technology enabled, sustainable energy provider GRIDSERVE took home two awards last night at the GREENFLEET Awards 2023, as the company continues to deliver net zero, High Power EV charging across the UK’s busiest roads.
GRIDSERVE founder and CEO, Toddington Harper, was awarded the ‘GREENFLEET Award for Outstanding Achievement’ in recognition of his leadership of an ongoing project that has transformed the UK charging infrastructure experience. Harper was praised for GRIDSERVE’s groundbreaking Electric Forecourts® and Hybrid Solar Farms, which have been instrumental in decarbonising transport. GREENFLEET spoke first-hand to the seamless experience of the GRIDSERVE Electric Highway, having visited a number of locations on their EV Rally events over recent years.
The GRIDSERVE Electric Highway was also awarded on the night, winning ‘Public Sector On-street Charging Provider of the Year’. The GRIDSERVE Electric Highway now boasts over 175 locations with over 700 chargers, many of which are 350kW-capable chargers – powerful enough to supply up to 100 miles of range in less than 10 minutes. Over 180,000 charging sessions are now recorded each month as the demand for High Power EV charging increases.
Toddington Harper said: “Three years ago, in December 2020, we opened our first charger at Braintree Electric Forecourt®. Since then the growth has been incredible as we revolutionise EV charging across the country. We have built Electric Forecourts®, Electric Super Hubs, Hybrid Solar Farms and so much more. I am humbled and grateful to GREENFLEET for the Outstanding Achievement award. Importantly, the last three years have been a huge team effort and work continues at pace, so it is great to see that effort recognised. I’m excited about the future and the awesome progress to come.”
