GRIDSERVE expands Solstice Park Electric Super Hub to meet growing driver demand

GRIDSERVE has expanded its Electric Super Hub at Solstice Park near Amesbury, doubling charging capacity from eight to 16 ultra-rapid charging bays, to meet growing demand from electric vehicle drivers travelling along the A303.

Since opening in 2023, the Solstice Park Electric Super Hub has become a popular charging destination for both leisure and business travellers. Located just minutes from Stonehenge, as well as connecting London with Devon and Cornwall, the site offers fast, reliable and highly convenient EV charging provision, alongside fast food amenities including Greggs Drive-Thru, Taco Bell and McDonalds.

The Solstice Park Electric Super Hub now offers a balanced mix of 180kW- and 350kW-capable chargers, with the latter capable of adding up to 100 miles of range in around 10 minutes. The provision has been designed to help reduce waiting times and ensure drivers can charge quickly and continue their journeys with confidence. Both CCS and CHAdeMO connectors continue to be supported, while the energy supplied is from 100% renewable sources.

The investment reflects GRIDSERVE’s continued commitment to expanding its super-fast and reliable infrastructure at strategic locations across the UK, making electric journeys easier and more convenient.
